We live here. We work here. We care what happens here.
You know that famous line, "Of the people, by the people, for the people"? It pretty much sums up how DATCU works. Our leadership comes straight from the ranks of credit union members. And our mission is to educate Texans about how to best manage their finances and to help make our communities better places to live.
DATCU is governed by an 11-person Board of Directors. Our members choose the directors, who are also credit union members. The directors, who receive no compensation, set policy and hire the executives who run the organization on a day-to-day basis. They also hold an annual meeting each March.
Education for Members
One goal of every credit union is to help its members become better-educated consumers of financial services. DATCU does this by providing members with access to experts who can help them with financial planning; by offering information through newsletters and online financial education articles; and by running workshops for employees of our business partners.
People Helping People
Credit Unions exist to help people. Our goal is to provide outstanding service and products to our members and the communities we serve.
