Who You Gonna Call?

  • DATCU

Regardless if you’re catching ghosts or trying to set up your bill pay, the question remains the same.  Who are you going to call to get help?  The answer tends to separate the large corporate banks from the local community credit unions.

Where is the contact center?

Big banks don’t always have a local contact center.  When maximizing profits is the only mission, running a contact center usually feels like a major expense that eats into the bottom line.  For many, it’s more convenient and cost effective to outsource this important piece of customer service.

At DATCU, when you call our number, you get a local representative.  Our contact center is located at our Corinth headquarters.

In fact, even our ATMs are designed to get you in touch with a nearby employee.  If you have a question during your transaction and you select the option to contact a teller, that video call is sent to our contact center or a frinedly teller at a nearby branch.

Whenever you need us, you have multiple opportunities to speak to a neighbor to resolve your issue.

What about chat, texting, or even automated voice assistants?

We do have a chat feature located on our website.  Those conversations are sent directly to our contact center agents.  Same with texting.  However you want to reach us, we’re there waiting for your questions.

There’s even a way to reach us from within your DATCU mobile app or online banking platform.  Once you login to your app, select your account profile icon in the top right of the screen.  It will direct you to a menu with “Messages” as an option.  Selecting that will allow you to send a secure message directly to our contact center representatives.

You can also select “Support” to find other ways to answer your questions.  One valuable collection of information in this section of the app is our “Video Resources.”  That’s a wide variety of useful videos to help you navigate your online banking and help answer any simple questions you might have.

DATCU Danny is our automated voice assistant.  If you call our direct line, you will meet Danny.  He is a useful resource to get most of your information and even to complete a few simple transactions like paying a bill or transferring between two accounts. Needless to say, Danny is intended to help automate easier transactions so that our contact center representatives are available.

Local branches still rule the day.

While it’s nice to know someone in your hometown can answer a phone call, text, or chat, it remains true at DATCU that we enjoy when members walk into any of our 15 branches (and growing!).  Branch staff are trained to answer your questions and can even help you complete loan applications and recommend any products that might be beneficial to your financial health.

At the end of the day, as a local credit union we want to build relationships with you that matter.

Whether you want to text, call, or stop by, we will get the message and answer your questions quickly because we’re your neighbor and want our communities to thrive as much as possible.
