DENTON, TX. – DATCU, a leading full-service credit union held a ceremony on Wednesday, September 24th, celebrating the groundbreaking of their new corporate headquarters in Corinth, TX. DATCU’s executive team, board members, employees, Corinth city officials and many others were in attendance.
In a prime Interstate 35E location near Corinth Parkway, the 52,000 square foot two story administrative facility is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2016. It will house approximately eighty back office employees including the executive team, accounting and finance, compliance and training, lending support, information technology, human resources, marketing, real estate support, and the virtual call center branch.
“We are extremely happy that DATCU has chosen Corinth for their corporate headquarters location. The mayor and city council and members of the Corinth EDC Board and DATCU have worked long and hard to make this project become a reality. We believe they will be an excellent community partner and will set the standards for high quality development along the I35 corridor,” stated Rick Chaffin, Corinth City Manager.
DATCU Credit Union, under the leadership of Dale Kimble, has been recognized as one of the nation’s best performing large credit unions by SNL Financial, has been voted a Best Place to Work in Texas by Texas Monthly Magazine, and most recently was ranked as the # 2 Midsize Company in the Dallas Morning News Top 100 Places to Work 2013.
“As demand for our services has grown to over $745,000,000 in assets and almost 80,000 members, we’ve expanded to ten (soon eleven with Highland Village) branch locations from the north in Sanger, east in The Colony, and south to Flower Mound reaching out from our core of Denton and Lewisville. DATCU members are literally all over the world now. We’ve simply outgrown our current location and need to be more centralized to serve all of Denton County. Our commitment to Denton remains unchanged and we will continue to provide the best service in our branches and to the community”, said Dale Kimble, DATCU’s Chief Executive Officer.
The architect and general contractor for the project is New Ground, a leading global company that imagines, designs, and implements retail and corporate environments. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, they have offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Portsmouth, and Toronto.
