Hey everybody, uh welcome to another episode of Checking In. We are excited today to have a special guest. Um one of our brand ambassadors, uh Shaniah Price plays basketball for the women's team. Um so so thankful to have you here and uh you're in for a real treat. Uh or maybe I'm in for a real treat. I don't know. We'll see how this goes. Uh but our our podcast really is about focusing on kind of our personal experiences with money. Uh we like to split things up into kind of two different segments. One is just those positive emotions that we have with money, the good times, right? The first paychecks, the the big wins we have with with finances, and then we'll switch somewhere about the halfway and start talking about um those not so great experiences, right? Those flat tires that happen out of the blue. those expenses that we don't necessarily see coming. You know, how do we handle those? How do how do we deal with those? How do we keep ourselves from going crazy with our money, etc.? Uh, and then we'll wrap it up with some kind of pop culture stuff to to liven up the conversation a little bit. So, but we're definitely grateful for you. Thank you so much for coming. Thank you for having me. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. I'm excited about this. You want to start with the good stuff? Start Start with the positive experience. The good stuff. All right. I I normally like to ask about your first paycheck. Do you remember your first paycheck? But I'm assuming that was only a few years ago for you, so it might not be too tough of a question. Um, so do you remember your first paycheck, your first job or anything like that? So up until my first paycheck, which was becoming an athlete at University of North Texas, I didn't work at all. Like my parents were pretty well off, so I didn't have to worry about much. But when I did get my first paycheck, it was $300 for my like living, groceries, all I can eat, whatever you want to name it. But yeah, that was my first paycheck. Yeah, just recently. Yeah. Did it give you a sense of like independence and like, oh my gosh, I've made it. Yeah, a little bit. Cuz I never had like my own money before. So I was like, okay, I'll put all my concepts into place like save, you know, spend this, don't do that. So yeah. Nice. So even from day one, you had a a plan for your money. Mhm. Nice. That's really smart. That's uh light years ahead of a lot of people. So, kudos. Thank you. To get that done. Well, and I'm assuming u too you didn't have a job early because you were training so much, right? You were probably non-stop uh Yeah. non-stop with tournaments and practice and all of that stuff. So, did this first kind of paycheck make you think that all of that hard work and everything that you've put into has finally paid off? Yeah, I mean it in a sense it did, but then also it's just kind of like the reward, you know, like yes, I put in the hard work, but now it's time for me to reap the benefits of what I've done. Um, and so I think getting that first paycheck, I'm like, yes, it's only $300, but it's my $300. Exactly. So, yeah. Yeah, that's awesome. Did it change your perspective on your sport at all? Like, well, let me put it this way. And and I know you're a you're a you know division one athlete and so this I think I know the answer to this which is no. But um did you get to a point where you're like oh didn't realize I could get paid for something that I love like maybe if I work a little bit harder or push a little bit more I can take that next step in my financial career not just athletic career. Did did it change your perspective on the sport money? I mean, yes, considering that like not too many years ago, girls or sports didn't get money in college. Um, and so since I was kind of like new to the money idea, like, oh, I actually can like benefit from not only the sport, but then like NIL came into play. And so now I'm like having to think like, do I want to do this, do I not? Um, do I want to spend, do I not? Like what is really me managing my money? Yeah. a different different element to to your adulting, right? Yeah. Yeah. Becoming that adult. Well, speaking of that, like what would you say was your biggest influence on your uh understanding of money? Like was it a class in school? Was it your parents? Was it a book? Was it, you know, a show? What shaped the way you think about money? Um, I actually, well, growing up, my mom always talked about like save money, you know, like you want to be better off than us. like I'm praying that you're, you know, going to be better off than us. Um cuz she was better off than her parents. So, it's kind of like a generational thing. She's like, you're supposed to be better than me and your kids are supposed to be better than you. Um type of thing. But I would say I guess my senior year of high school I took the Ramsy course online and I learned a lot of things like it's common sense yes but um it really opened up my eyes like to see perspective when saving money or spending money like don't spend more than you make you know like that's common sense but at the same time it's like yes do that. Um, so I would say that helped and opened my eyes up to that. And then, um, just being a finance major, like you hear about and talk about money all the time. So, really just putting to practice what you, um, learn in school every day. Yeah. We probably should have led with that, huh? You're you're a junior finance major, right? Uh, marketing, finance. Yeah, marketing finance. Nice. Okay. Yeah, we'll have to stay in touch. Yeah, for sure. After this, I'll get I'll get your card. How about that? Oh, yeah. Have your people call my people. How about that? I got you. We'll get that down. Yeah. Nice. Well, how has that kind of helped your understanding of money? Because I'm imagining finance is probably like business and commercial. Do you do much in the personal finance world? Not yet. No. Um, but right now it's just been like assets, liabilities, you know, the business side. So, yeah, only business. But I think with my like knowledge of that, I can kind of like delegate what I need to use for my personal expenses. Yeah, absolutely. apply what you're learning in the classroom to your your personal life and you'll be you'll be much better off. That's awesome. All right. Well, hit me hit hit me with your best piece of advice. What do you think? If I came to you and said, "Hey, um I'll ask you two questions, one commercial and one business or a personal." Um if I came to you and said, "I want to start a business tomorrow. What would be your best piece of financial advice for me?" I would say I don't even know if it'd be financial, but like connect with people. like the further you go will be depended on if you know people and like what they say about you. So like being nice to people, talking to people, you know, being someone like, "Oh, I remembered Shaniah from when she was like playing on the court or I talked to her like in passing and she like such a bright light or energy um honestly has gotten me far too because I'm a people person so I'm like, "Hey, like how are you doing?" Like when I see someone like I remember you from somewhere. I don't remember your name, but like nice to see you again. Things like that. Yeah. Okay. Okay. I definitely want your resume now. Thank you. This is this is a good connection. Nice. Uh I 100% agree with you. Um like the the business stuff will come. But as long as you're putting out a good, you know, reputation, good energy, um being friendly and helpful to everybody, things will fall into place. Yeah. Well, you threw me for a curveball there. I was I was thinking we were going down some money route. You mean with some solid marketing stuff there, you know? Be yourself. Best of both worlds. There we go. Yeah. That's why I want your resume. Let's make this happen for sure. Nice. Um well, you talked a little bit about your mom too. U kind of how she influenced your your thoughts on money. Um anything beyond like the savings or let me back this up. Um let me try to articulate this a little better. Um you you say things like this is common sense and while I 100% agree with you, not everybody lives by those common sense rules, right? Um, so did your parents help kind of put some guard rails in place where you're like, "Hey, you're going to be wanted to spend all your money. You're going to want to do all this." Yeah. But don't. And how do you avoid that? I'd say I like So right now I have my account set up to where like if I buy anything, whatever cents or leftover like automatically goes to savings. So then no matter what, I'll always have something in my savings or um set aside. And then um I would say another thing that I do to like not spend as much is like budgeting. I started it my freshman year cuz I was living off of 300 bucks. So you kind of have to be That's a handful of ramen noodles. I mean I mean yeah, but when you have friends that want to go out, you know, buy go takeout, things like that. It does get expensive when you have like a $10 Starbucks order every day versus um going to a restaurant and paying 20 bucks for a meal. But um I would say that too has helped a little bit. Yeah. Just having a plan, knowing your limits. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, let's talk about those limits. What do you what do you splurge on? What are you like, "Yeah, I'm going to spend the money on this." Um I'm a book reader, so I do buy books every now and then. Like any genre, I'll read. Um I mean, recently, like with the content creation, I bought a camera. So nice. I think really just my hobbies are what, you know, you'll see it go up every now and then on the monthly bill. Um, but yeah, things that I like to do. Like hobbies are mainly what I spend my money on. Yeah. Or splurges. Yeah. What's been your favorite book so far? Well, let me say what's recently. What's What's recently? What are you reading? Um, I know this past month I read Don't Believe Everything You Think. And I think it helped me a lot going into my junior year of basketball. But really, for the most part, it's like, yes, you're going to have doubts. Yes, you're going to have fears, but it's not the thought itself, but the feeling and the emotion you put behind it that makes it fester and build up. Um, and so I'm like, I have a motto like, what would Jesus do in this situation? When I feel like anxious or nervous, just like breathe, calm down, you know, like pray or do something that makes you feel more at ease and at peace with yourself. Yeah. Oh, that's awesome. I could imagine you're at the free throw line with the big game, you know? Yeah. Instead of thinking about it, just breathe and do it, right? Trust your training and go. Yeah. When do you graduate? In 28, but you know, we have fifth years now. So, might take it. So, well, I'm only saying that like when can I have a job opening ready for for her, you know, in 28. Okay. All right. Let's make this happened. It's impressive. Um, you mentioned uh hobbies. Mhm. So, let's say you get really involved like in photography like you said and purchase a camera. You can keep going. I mean, you can buy lenses, you can buy lights, you can buy microphones. How do you tell yourself, hey, this is enough, right? Or, hey, I can't afford that yet. I'll put a plan together to where I can afford it. Do you have a system like that you use? Um, or is it just spreadsheets and and common sense? I mean, with those type of purchases, I don't think I use spreadsheets, you know, like, hey, like 50 bucks here, 20 bucks there. But, um, it's kind of like a mental note, like, hey, this is my big purchase for, I guess, like six months. Um, because I got my camera in January. And so, that was my big purchase. And then I actually just got my new phone, which was my next big purchase. And so it's just kind of like every six months I'm like, "Okay, what do I need to check off my list to like um upgrade with or do something like that." Yeah. And I like that it's very career-minded. I mean um you'll be able to create content with that stuff, those two pieces of equipment. Yeah. All day long. Um so you can really set yourself up nicely. Um well, well done. Well done. Thank you. Um okay, so man, that was that you answered that question so well. I I don't know where to go from here. Um, normally there's an avenue to be like, "Okay, you like to get shoes, you like uh nails done, whatever. Uh, how do you stop yourself?" But you're like, "H, I don't need to stop myself. I've got discipline." Uh, for the most part, yeah, I think just with practice, I have spent more than I should some days or weeks. But um just really making that mental note like hey like yes I'm getting money but also like prepare for like when we don't get paid in December. I know I got to pay rent out of pocket that month or in May when we're not in school rent out of pocket that month. So just like mental notes like hey you know make sure I have that money saved up. Yeah. Well um the other side of that coin is like guilty pleasures right the ones like ah I shouldn't have spent that money but I'm okay with it. It's in the past. You have any of those? Any guilty pleasures there? Um, like sweet treats, desserts. Yeah. Uh, ice cream, cookies, like what's all the above? All of the snacks. Insomnia has me in a chokeold. Oh, that's funny. Um, I'm right there with you. So, yeah. Um, nice. Yeah. You talked about like Starbucks and like going out to eat with your friends and all that stuff. Um, how do you avoid the I don't want to call it peer pressure, but the like, hey, all my friends are doing it. I should, you know, go out to eat, too. Do you have an easy out for that? Like a, hey, catch you next time or anything like that? Um, just roll with it. I think kind of, but like in high school, so my first two years of high school, I went to Byron Nelson, which is 40 minutes away from where I live. Yeah. And so that was a commute. And so most of the time I did miss out on like staying after school or doing things because I didn't drive and I'm young for my class. So, um, I couldn't drive. and then staying up there late and then my dad would have to come pick me up and then no one wants to drive halfway to meet my dad. So things like that um was part of the reason why like I'm okay with missing out but like at the same time like I am on my own and have a car now so I can do what I want. Um but I know like this past like summer I was like hey I'm not eating out as much like I'm going to cook from home. And um my friends understood like they were like okay like just let us know when you do want to go eat. I'm like okay good. Understanding people I think is what's made it better. Yeah, that's awesome. Sounds like you got some good friends. Yeah, they are good people. Keep those people around. Yeah, absolutely. That's very cool. Um well, we can we can shift just a little bit um and talk about those kind of stressful moments and stuff too. Um it sounds like you're very well verssed in budgeting and you've got kind of that skill set down. What happens when you have those moments of like, oh, I didn't anticipate that or, you know, didn't expect uh the air conditioner to go out or I didn't expect, you know, whatever. Yeah. Um, how do you handle that? Um, I actually did have a scare cuz I didn't get my like financial aid this past semester and I was like, okay, like that big bank account getting a little low. Like, what do I do? What do I do? Um, so that was kind of like when I was more strategic about saving, but also like, "Hey, mom, dad, like do you mind like if I borrow what, $500 right now?" And then I pay you back once I get my um financial aid. And they understood, you know, gave it back to them. And, you know, it was all good and Gucci after. But during that time, I was kind of like, "Okay, now we're getting out. Got to save a little more. Make sure I spend money on what I need, groceries, things like that." Gotcha. Gotcha. So, you borrowed a little and then buckled down on what you actually used the money for. Yeah. Nice. Um, you a credit card person? You And I only ask it that way because that's usually a hot button of like some people are like, "Yeah, credit cards are fine." Some people are like, "No, never. Ever. Ever." Yeah. As a finance major, do you have any um feelings about uh loans or credit cards or anything like that? I I don't have one right now, but I think in the future I would like try, you know, dabble with using a credit card, but since I am like financially like stable and things like that, I try to like not buy anything that I can't purchase now. Um, and so with that, I guess I'm like my own credit card, but there you go. It's a good way of looking at it. Yeah. So, yeah, I always feel like the bad guy in the podcast when we start talking about this because I feel like I'm like, "Come on, man. You can do it. Credit card. Get the credit card. Credit card. You could do it. Uh, but there's ways to use it wisely and build up your credit score and all that stuff. Uh, one of the things I've repeated on this one at Nauseium is our VP of lending actually I did a podcast with him once a couple years ago and and he was like actually having a little bit of credit is is good for you. You know, it helps your credit score. If you want to shoot to use about a third of what you're approved for. Yeah. Yeah. So, like if your spending limit or your credit limit on your card is 10,000, you probably want to keep your spending somewhere around three. Uh because that shows creditors that you're responsible with it. And also that if an emergency does happen, you've got enough of a window to work with. Yeah. Like emergency just in case. And so that actually helps your credit score, improves it. So something I never really thought about until I had that conversation with him. So So yeah, think about it just a little bit more. Yeah. everything in moderation, right? We we'll say it that way. Uh use it wisely and and you're good. But you have to have the common sense and the discipline that to do that. Yeah. That you've been talking about. Yeah. So So yeah. Um are there any big purchases in your future? We don't talk about what they are, but I just wanted to see how you're preparing and and getting ready for those. I imagine in a couple years when you're turned out into the into the world, right? uh you're going to be looking for maybe a house or you know things like that. How do you prepare for those big um costs? Um I mean right now my biggest thing is my car. So I'm leasing it. So I'm going to use it what for one more year when I graduate and then I plan to like buy it in full like and um Yeah. So I don't have to pay a car now anymore. Yeah. And um I think just going into that it's like yes it sucks you know being on the budget but like at the end I won't have to pay my car off and I'll just have it and it's my own. Um and so I think that's probably one of the most rewarding things about the big purchases. It's like yes it sucks but once you have it it's yours. You can do whatever you want with it. Um so yeah. Yeah. Feels like an accomplishment. Yeah. take that one off and and then you can be smart with it moving forward because you'll have some equity in it and and you can snowball that in the right direction. Throw the money and Exactly. All that. Yeah, I threw in that Ramsay quote for you. Snowball it, right? You mentioned Ramsay, so I see you know that term. Awesome. Um, well, as as you kind of started gaining kind of some some recognition, notoriety for your sport and then realized that I'm sorry, I'm I'm switching gears on you a little bit. No, you're good. Uh, realized that like, hey, this could be a thing, right? This could this could get me through college. Um, and then you started realizing NIL and all that stuff was was coming your way, too. Did it influence you on like future plans? like were you in a situation where you're like well this is a great university and so is that that's a great university too this one has better NIL this one doesn't did any of those things come into kind of your decision- making for your your future um I think one of the biggest things right now or even in the recruiting process was like I wanted to play somewhere where I was going to be there for four years grow build anything I can name of or think of at the time that's where I wanted to be and so I I think and has done a really good job of one connecting me with people, two loyalty, fan engagement, nil. I think right now it's the biggest thing that's um kept me going is the fact that I have people behind me that are going to vouch for me, pushing me to do better, be great. The coaching staff is good. Um and so I think that's been one of my biggest things of why I haven't left because yes, I am probably the biggest face of my team right now. And um that is because I've stayed loyal to and its people. So nice. I like that. Um you're kind of rewarded uh for your loyalty with all of this stuff now. Yeah. How has that transition been from underassman to upper classman taking on a little bit more of a leadership role? Um I mean the other day I yelled at my team. I was like, "Hey guys, like we got to do better." And my coach was like, "Jan, I didn't know you had that in you." Like laughing. But it's like the truth is like I have grown so much since my freshman year and my coaches like praise me till this day. They're like like Shanai, you have like grown exponentially since day one. Like I Yes, you may have bad days. Yes, you may have good days, but you've been like consistent throughout the whole process. So that's awesome. That's a huge compliment to you. Yeah, it is. And and I can tell I mean just the way you you carry yourself and articulate, you know, your thoughts and ideas, you can tell there's a lot of maturity and growth there. Thanks. That's really awesome. So, uh, what about when you were an under underassman? Did you have any upper classman that you were like, "Yeah, that's what I wanted. That's the direction I want to head." Yeah. Um, I think my freshman year my biggest um, like role model was probably Ariana Eve Hardaway. Um, she was a vocal leader. She worked hard. Um, she was someone I looked up to and we're friends till this day. We talk. Um, and now she's going to play overseas. And so she's someone that I strive to be like more every single day because she was a leader on and off the court. She took care of her grades. Um and she was someone that like spoke life into me every single day. Um and checked up on me. That's awesome, man. Yeah. I hope she hears this. I hope she does. Yeah. We'll have to send her the link. Yeah. How about that? Like a little clip like I shouted you out. Well, yeah. Well, and a lot of times too when you have that type of influence, you don't really see it on a day-to-day basis or really think about it until someone calls it out and it's like, "Yeah, this is a really important person in my life." So, so I'm glad you did that. And hopefully the the freshman right now are looking up to you and and Yeah, I'm sure they are. I'm sure they are. Yeah. Well, what are you looking forward to most this season? Um, I mean, we played some pretty big teams this year, so better competition. I think since we have a new team, like just growing with them every single day. I think we can be great. Um, everyone's bought into the um premium gas mentality. So, I think that's something that's really big and it's going to push us forward. I think you looked at me like, "What's premium gas?" Yeah, I know. I was like, "Okay, we're going to dive into that." Premium gas? You mean like eight bucks a gallon type stuff? I mean, whatever's the best quality. That's what we want to fill our bodies with every day. Like the standard is the standard. Um whether I'm doing one rep or if I'm doing 10, like seeing how consistent I can be and then if I can push myself to be better every single day is what premium gas is. And I think our coaches through and through like each year have um really like embodied that mentality and I think that shows on the court with our team like yes we may be down what 19 against Temple one game but we came back and won because of our premium gas or Mamba mentality whatever you want to call it that pushes through to um win at the end of the day. Nice. I'm going to start using that with my kids. Premium gas. Come on guys. We need premium gas today. Let's go. Let's go. So they're going to love you for this. Thank you. Yeah. Oh, no. That's awesome. Um, well, you said big opponents. Who Who are you most looking forward to playing this year? We play Baylor at home, so that should be a really good game. Um, we play OSU away, so that's going to be a big game at OSU. And, um, we play Duke in San Antonio, so nice. That'll be another fun big game. Yeah. Yeah. Well, um, I'll go ahead and say this because he's sitting over there behind the computer, but he's he's an OSU guy and I'm a Baylor guy. So, okay. Obviously, the Baylor game is gonna be way bigger than Stillwater. I mean, come on. Let's go. So, he's he's giving me looks. We'll move on. Yeah. Uh, well, let's let's let's talk we've kind of transitioned into kind kind of that uh pop culture culture reference part of the podcast. Let's talk about teammates. Is that right? Okay. Yeah. Who are you calling at 12:30 in the morning after you have a flat tire on the side of the road? 12:30 in the morning I probably say it's between Ry and Tori. So Tori is my roommate and then Ry is one of my underassmen who have stuck with me, been like my little sidekick. Nice. Yeah. Nice. So they're they're the reliable ones that'll come get you, right? Yeah. Who are you not calling? Um, I'd probably say put you in a tough spot. Yeah. So, probably someone doesn't answer their phone. There you go. Not that they're not reliable. They just might not have their phone or they're heavy sleepers. Yeah. So, they're just not phone people. They're like, I don't want to be on my phone all day, which is also good. Yeah. Um, but if I need help, I need to call you. So, I'd probably say maybe KG. I don't know if she's always on her phone. We'll make sure she doesn't get this link. Yeah. So, she doesn't hear that. Do not listen to Yeah. Or just skip over minutes and 30 seconds in. We'll we'll edit that out. Yeah. For her. For her. For not for me. Yeah. No, I mean, we'll we'll run the podcast as is on our normal channels, but for her, we'll send a special link that has that edit. Just everything else. Yeah. Yeah. We'll skip that part. Yeah. Uh, who you calling if you need a laugh? Like, let's say you had a rough day in class or something or a rough practice. Who you calling for a laugh? Probably Bird. Her name's Kalista, but we call her Bird. Her nickname. Um, she's always making me laugh. We're like twins when it comes to making people laugh, so she probably makes me laugh the most. Is she the one you're yelling at on the court like, "Come on, get with it. Let's let's focus." Or is it? She's actually pretty like focused on the court. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. All right. Yeah. You know those funny people, you got to you got to watch out. Okay. Wow. My coach is getting a little angry. We turned the ball over three times. Let's lock in. Yeah. Lock in. Oh, that's funny. Nice. Um, who you calling if you're um at the movie theater and you want to go see something, but you forgot your wallet. Probably Tori. Yeah. Or my other roommate, Reza. I think she'd pitch in the one time. They got your back. Yeah. Nice. Well, I feel like the more questions I ask the this I'm going to get the same answer, aren't I? Yeah. Same kind of people. I mean, like they're all good people, but you know, roommates, you know, they got your back right then and there, you know. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Um, no, I mean, you've made me super excited for the season now. I can't wait to see you guys in action and going strong. So, this is become going to be a lot of fun. Um, what about uh so you did say you're marketing finance, right? U, what about building your brand? like u you you kind of have to focus on that if you're going to get involved with NIL and stuff like that. Yeah. Um how have you started to do that or how has it shaped the decisions you make? Like, hey, I'm going to post this. No, I better not post that. You know, that thing. Is that uh helping you out any? Um I would say yes. I started actually posting on Instagram more at the end of July, Augustish, cuz I went on vacation. And I was like, I'm going to vlog the whole trip cuz I got my new camera. I'm going to clear all the old videos that I have and make like a big huge video. And so I've started with posting our cruise is what we did. And it got a lot of likes for the first time, me posting like other content versus just NIL. I was like, hm, maybe I'll keep doing this. And then um I started doing it like more recording like hey I'm going to the store or like meal prep things like that because I only um recorded on YouTube um this past year and that was just trips and games and then um um I want to say what this past like week and a half is when I started like incorporating my other NIL deals. And so I think like yes it's made me think wait maybe I should not post that because you know like coaches people from big corporations or companies are like you know may reach out. So, yes, that does play a role, but at the end of the day, I want my content to feel authentic to me. And so, it's one of those things like if I'm posting it, it's probably because I have like the right to, but also because it matches what my brand image and likeness that I want to promote. Yeah, absolutely. No, I 100% agree with you that authentic, transparent, real stuff is a lot more effective, right? I catch myself sometimes like why am I watching this person's like 5 to9 right those this is after my 9 to5 this is my five to nine and I'm like watching other people do work yeah like I honestly don't care if you go to the gym and and and then you have a sandwich for dinner but I'm I'm watching bought into it why am I doing this because I want to know that real person right I want to know what's behind the persona the the a persona right yeah so keep doing that awesome thanks that's really Yeah. Um, yeah. Well, what what game do you want the most people in? What home game do you want people to attend this season the most? Like what on your schedule is you're like, "Oh, we're going to need a little bit of energy here. Let's get people in the seats." Yeah, I think for sure the Baylor game, like Baylor at home is like crazy pool. Um, you don't get many like Big 12 SEC teams coming um to the super pit. So, it's I think it's a good way to get the crowd hyped, get everyone hyped for the game, and honestly, like the atmosphere will make the game that much better because it would suck, you know, to not have anyone in the gym when you're playing the Baylor. But, um, I think the more people that show out, the maniacs, everybody, it'll make the game pretty special. What day is that game? You know, I don't know off the top of my head. We'll put it on the website. How about that? Just pillow pop up right next to my head. Yeah. Does it matter what green I wear if I come? I mean, preferably ming. Okay. So, I think I can do that, but I think I can do that for you. Yeah. Yeah, that'll be fine. U Yeah, I was there during the the Britney Well, Britney Grinder was a little bit younger than me, but I'm old. Anyway, I was there when women's basketball was was getting really popular at at Baylor. So, so yeah, it's a big deal. Yeah. Well, yeah, I'd love to come see that game. Love to have you. Yeah. Yeah, we'll be there for sure. Awesome. Well, um, thank you so much for being here. You got any last minute bits of, uh, advice or wisdom for those, uh, upand cominging basketball stars? Like, anything anything you would tell your younger self? Um, I guess like just don't doubt the moments where you feel like no one's watching you. Someone's always watching you or seeing your progress and how you grow. So, just continue to be consistent, believe in yourself, and then get people behind you that believe in you, too. Nice. Yeah. Nice. Well, I'm I'm going to tell my group, "Yeah, you better watch out. Someone's coming for your job." So, uh if if not, I'm getting glares now. I'm getting glares. Uh if not, we'll create one. Uh this has been super impressive. I'm I'm I'm super glad we had you here and I can't wait to see you go out there and dominate on the court and continue to grow in your your career. So, yeah. Awesome. Well, thanks so much. Yeah. And thanks, guys. Thanks for tuning in for another episode of Checking In. Uh we we had a lot of fun and uh hopefully everybody gets a lot out of this.
