In 1936, in the heart of the Great Depression, 13 North Texas educators pulled together $650. They had a simple idea, people helping people. they've always um um been there for us, you know, and and as I said, I've just never ever had any kind of a an issue or anything with that. And my son and daughter-in-law live in the Krum area and they are members of DATCU. From a single room on the campus of North Texas State College in Denton, Texas, the idea of people helping people grew decade after decade alongside the community it served. Over the years, new branches opened. New services followed with Denton County Teachers Federal Credit Union eventually becoming Denton Area Teachers Credit Union. I like DATCU. I feel like DATCU has culture and it it makes you feel at home. It's like cozy, you know? It's like over there I feel like I'm in like a hotel, but then when I'm in DATCU it's like home. When I walk in, hey everybody, everyone's very greeting. They they they treat you very well with integrity and all that and hospitality is amazing to the roof. I don't think you can find that anywhere else in other banks. But I really love it. I love it. Through economic downturns, market fluctuations, and decades of change, one thing never did. DATCU's commitment to its members. I grew up in Lewisville and you know I'm a community guy anyway because I felt like you know the community raised me I should give back to them and that's why I chose my profession and you know kind of the same thing with DATCU. It was it's a community bank you know and even though the rules were a little bit different back then as to who could join and who couldn't uh I'm glad to see that now it's it's made widely available to just about anybody who needs the financial product. Today, DATCU serves North Texas from 14 branches with nearly two billion in assets. For 90 years, DATCU has grown because people have trusted DATCU to grow with them. DATCU, 90 years of people helping people.
