01.What are your current Certificate of Deposit (CD) rates?

03.What are your checking account fees?
There are several types of checking accounts that the CU offers. Some checking accounts may have a monthly service charge, if applicable. Our most popular checking account is a free checking. This account does not incur a monthly service fee. Applicable accounts that incur a monthly service fee require that a monthly balance of $500 is maintained daily. See the truth in savings fee schedule. Checking accounts that have an applicable monthly service fee incur a $7.00 fee.
04.Do you offer on-line Bill Pay?
Yes. It is free when you sign up for e-statements.
05.Is there a fee for your on-line Bill Pay?
It is free if you sign up for e-statements. Otherwise, it is $5.95 a month and checking account is required.
06.Does your savings account have a debit card?
The savings account alone does not have a debit card. However, if you have a free checking account you can withdraw money at the ATM (automated teller machine) from your savings.
07.How do I make a loan payment?
There are several options available to our membership. We can do an auto transfer from the savings/checking. You can transfer a payment from your account in home banking. We can also debit an account from another institution through ACH. All we need is for the member to sign an ACH form and a voided check. Members can also come to one of our branches and pay by check or cash.
08.How do I make a credit card payment?
There are also several convenient methods of paying your credit card bill. Auto transfer each month from a DATCU account, member can go to www.datcu.org and sign up for online banking and pay from their account 24/7, member can mail a check with payment coupon, or visit any one of our ten branch locations. 09.How can I have my debit card pin reset?
Member can come into one of our branches and we can repin their debit card.
10.How do I make additional principal payments to my loan?
When making a payment to the loan, let the teller know you are making an additional principal payment.
11.How can I make payments to my loan on-line from another financial institution?
We make it very simple and convenient. If you do not have online banking, just sign-up for online banking where you will have the ability to make a payment from another financial institution through our online banking.
12.Can I view copies of my checks on-line?
Absolutely! DATCU's online banking is FREE. It offers you a convenient way to monitor your accounts, view transaction history and balances, and also view all checks. Simply to go to the datcu.org home page > my DATCU Account Access and click on "Get Registered".
13.When will we be able to make our loan payments on-line?
You can currently make a payment on-line in home banking from a DATCU account.
14.Why are my checking account available balance and actual balance different?
Sometimes this difference is due to debit card transactions that are pending and waiting to clear member accounts.
15.What is a bad address fee?
The credit union makes every attempt to make sure our members are receiving their statements and information in a timely and accurate manner. However, there are costs associated with mailing out statements and especially when the statements are returned to DATCU. A bad address fee is charged to an account when we do not have an accurate and up to date address for our members.
16.What do I do if I have a charge on my account that is not mine? (checking or credit card)
Come see one of the personal service representatives so that we can look further into this.
17.How do I find my routing transit number?
The routing and transit number is located at the bottom of each check before the member account. (311980725) Members can call or come by one of our branches.
18.Can I open an account on-line?
Members can apply for a loan online. However, at this time members will need to come in one of the branches or open an account by mail.
19.Why can't I call directly to a branch office?
The call center is better equipped to service the calls coming into the credit union. However, they can always transfer any member to a branch for additional information, if needed. Most branches are geared to servicing the membership that are coming into the branch and may not always have the time or opportunity to take calls.
20.Are there penalties for paying my loan off early?
There are no penalties, if anything, the member will save money.
21.Does a loan extension affect my credit?
No. It simply adds a month to the end of your loan, extending the contract.
22.How do I order checks on-line?
#1 - DATCU Website - Quick links, select Check Reorder, on Deluxe website, place check order.
#2 - Member may sign on to their online banking and select the checks tab. When in the checks field, member has the option to order checks.
23.Can I transfer money from one account to another on-line?
Yes. Members can access different accounts online. However, there are stipulations.
24.Can I put a stop payment on a debit card purchase?
Once an authorization has been given, a member will first need to try to solve the transaction dispute with the merchant. If dispute is not resolved, the cu will need the member to come in and speak with a representative to try to dispute the transaction.
25.How long does it take to receive my title once I have paid off my car loan?
7-10 business days if paid by check. Members can request to receive and pick up the title in Denton, if payment is made by cash. This is not a frequent transaction, so approval must be submitted and the title department will need to be notified so that they can pull the title from the title vault area.

27.Can I opt out of having my debit check card state restricted?
You can request that certain restrictions be removed if you are traveling to another state or if you are making an online purchase from a state that has credit transactions restricted. Please keep in mind that the restrictions have been placed on these states to reduce the possibility of fraud. You can always use your card with the PIN# in any state.
