DATCU Recognized at United Way of Denton County Tribute Event

At the United Way of Denton County’s recent United Tribute event, DATCU received two prestigious awards: The recognition was first as a Platinum Pacesetter reaching the highest level of campaign participation. They also received the Mid-Size Company Pinnacle award as an organization that impresses United Way each year with their campaign approach. Highlighted was the fact that DATCU not only encourages employees to give of their dollars but also of their time in volunteerism. This award recognizes financial support, volunteerism, and advocacy with programs like Leader on Loan, Project Blueprint, Board Training, campaign and event committees, and work with the Denton County Veteran’s Center.
This past year, DATCU gave $65,000 in employee donations, special events, and corporate sponsorship. “The United Way of Denton County does so much to support our community and we love helping them make a difference in people’s lives,” stated Glen McKenzie, DATCU’s President/CEO and a United Way of Denton County Board Member.
