For most Texans, text messaging has become pretty routine. The same goes for DATCU. If you sign up for mobile banking, you can arrange to have texts sent informing you when account balances are low, when bills are due, when checks are deposited, and things like that. But to take full advantage of this service, there are some things you should know.

DATCU Text Service

By enrolling in and activating DATCU mobile text alert service, you acknowledge that you are the authorized user of the mobile phone number and/or email address provided. You further grant us permission to send to you messages through the enrollment process, via your communications carrier.

Notify us immediately of any changes to your registered device. In case of unauthorized access to your Device or Service, you agree to cancel enrollment associated with the Device immediately.

You agree that DATCU will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the service; any errors in such information; any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or service; or any disclosure of account information to third parties resulting from your use of the service. We will not be liable to you for special, indirect or consequential damages.

Fees: DATCU does not charge a fee for this service. However, message and data rates from your communications carrier may apply.

Message Frequency: The number of messages will vary, based on the alerts you select at time of enrollment.

To Stop Alerts: Text “STOP” to 86020 from your mobile phone to cancel this service. You should then receive a response, “You have successfully unsubscribed.”

For Help: For information about this service, text “HELP” to 86020.

Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any and all claims, costs, damages, expenses, liability and losses, including attorneys’ fees, arising from use of the Text Alert Service.

Change in Terms: DATCU reserves the right to make changes in these terms at any time with or without notice. We also reserve the right to cancel this service at any time.

Carriers Supported: The text alert service is designed to support AT&T, Sprint, Nextel, Boost, Verizon Wireless, Google Voice, T-Mobile®, U.S. Cellular®, Cricket, MetroPCS, Cincinnati Bell, Cellular South, Centennial and Ntelos wireless phones that have a valid number and support text messaging.
