In other words, if you move, retire, or change jobs, your membership in the credit union continues with all its benefits.

Eligibility
Membership eligibility is determined by the following:

  • Anyone living or working in Denton, Cooke, Wise, Montague, or Clay Counties
  • Anyone who is employed by or associated with one of our Business Partners
  • Anyone related to a member associated with one of our Business Partners

To Apply for Membership:
To sign up as a member of DATCU, please:

  1. Print a copy of the membership application (provided on this page).
  2. Bring into a branch, a completed membership application with a copy of your driver's license and a check, money order, or cashier's check for $26 ( $1 Membership Fee plus $25 minimum opening deposit ).

Organizations within the field of membership
Any business or organization whose employees or members are within this field of membership (within Denton, Wise, Montague, Clay and Cooke Counties).


IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you:
When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you.

We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
