Western Heritage Gallery Open House – Fri., Nov. 6 – 10a-6p

Denton County has long been assocatied with historical ranch families. From the days of John Chisum & the Burnett family to today’s modern ranches, many famous cowboys have left their mark in Denton County. Cowboys from all backgrounds made their way through Denton; the early Mexican American Charros & African American all played a part in building and defining the true western heritage of Denton.

Cowboys & Cowgirls alike have long used many tools such as spurs, chaps & special saddles to make their daily chores a little easier. Over the years these working tools became more elaborate, depicting personal characteristics of the user & the collecting of these items continues to grow throughout the world.

The Western Heritage Gallery in conjunction with the National Bit Spur & Saddle Collectors Assocation invites the pubic to an open house event on November 6th and November 7th from 10 am till 6 pm. Exhibits will include 100s of spurs, bits and saddles & hats; anything cowboy or cowgirl related will be open to the public. In addition we will showcase an exhibit titled “A Hint of Artistry” the western tooled leather works of Buddie Foster. This exhibit will be on loan from one of the most sought after living spur makers in the world today, Mr. Bill Adamson, who will also be attending the open house.

Door prizes, Food & Drinks will be served on Saturday November 7th. For more details please visit our web-site at www.thewesternheritagegallery.com or on Facebook. The Western Heritage Gallery is located at 5800 N. I-35 Ste. 400, Denton, TX 76207 in the Stonehill Shopping Center.
